10 Top Fresh Ways to Use Fat Quarters

Fat Quarters are awesome! Well, at least that is my opinion. I believe the reason why Fat Quarters are so popular is that of the dimensions. Fat quarters are pre-cut pieces of cotton fabric which are taken from a half-yard cut and then cut on the fold line from the width.

A dimension for a Fat Quarter is approximately 18" x 22" (46cm x 56cm). They're cut from a standard quarter yard cut from a bolt would measure 44" x 9" (112cm x 23cm).

The squarer shape of the fat quarter is useful because it opens the door to many different sewing and piecing options with a scrappy planned look.

So, now that I've talked a little about fat quarters I researched what I would consider the top 10 fresh ways to use fat quarters. Wither they're taken from your stash, or you find inspiring fat quarters your next trip into a local independent fabric shop - PLUS boy oh boy do we have a fat quarter sale for you!
