How to Sew With Us Inside Quilting your Legacy
A simple guide to our calendar, community, and creative rhythm
If you have ever felt unsure where to begin with quilting again, you are not alone.
So many quilters tell me they have beautiful fabric waiting, patterns saved, ideas swirling around, and yet they are not quite sure what to work on next or where they fit into a quilting community anymore.
That is exactly why Quilting your Legacy has grown into what it is today.
I wanted to create something that felt steady. Something welcoming. Something that helps you not only start projects, but actually finish them and share them with the people you love most.
Quilting your Legacy is not just about sewing projects. It is about creating stories through fabric and building connection one stitch at a time.
To make that easier, we now follow a simple monthly rhythm so you always know when and where you can sew with us.
Below is your guide to everything happening inside Quilting your Legacy.
Our Quilting your Legacy Calendar

This calendar is designed to remove overwhelm and replace it with clarity.
You do not need to do everything.
You simply choose one place to begin.
First Sunday Sew Together
Our Legacy Quilters Membership Gathering
On the first Sunday of every month, we sit down and sew together step by step inside the Legacy Quilters Membership.
This is one of my favorite moments each month because it feels like sewing around a shared table, even though we are all in different homes.
During these sessions we work through a guided project together. You can ask questions, sew at your own pace, and feel supported from start to finish.
Many members tell me this is the first time they have consistently finished projects because they finally have a place to show up and sew with encouragement.
This space is for quilters who want gentle guidance, community, and momentum.
Free Community Sew Alongs
A welcoming place to begin again
Throughout the year, I host free sew along events that are open to everyone.
These are designed especially for quilters who want to restart their sewing habit or try something new without pressure.
You can use your fabric stash, follow along live or through the replay, and simply enjoy the process of sewing again.
These events often become the spark that helps quilters rediscover their creativity.

Weekly YouTube Sewing and Inspiration
Every week I share quilting videos on YouTube focused on real projects you can actually finish.
We talk about fabric choices, simple layouts, stash friendly ideas, and ways to stop overthinking your quilts.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is progress and confidence.
You can watch anytime, sew at your own pace, and feel like you have a quilting friend guiding you along the way.

Legacy Makers 7 at 7
Inspiration, fabric ideas, and creative planning together
On the first Tuesday evening of the month, we gather live on Facebook for Legacy Makers 7 at 7.
This is a relaxed creative gathering where I share fabric bundles, quilt kits, and project ideas designed to spark inspiration.
You can come simply to watch, gather ideas, and imagine your next project. Many quilters enjoy seeing fabrics and layouts before deciding what they want to make next.
It is part inspiration, part planning, and part community fun.

Sunday and Wednesday Emails
Your gentle quilting companion
Twice each week I send emails filled with encouragement, ideas, and guidance.
Sunday emails are slower and reflective. They help you reconnect with why you quilt and remind you that your creativity matters.
Wednesday emails are more hands on and project focused, often sharing patterns, tips, or new sewing inspiration.
My hope is that these emails feel like a friendly note reminding you that you are not quilting alone.

Quilting your Legacy Means More Than Making Quilts
At its heart, Quilting your Legacy is about becoming the kind of quilter who creates with intention.
You are sewing for yourself.
You are sewing for comfort.
You are sewing for your favorite people.
Every table topper, quilt, or small project becomes part of a larger story.
A gift for a child.
A memory for a family member.
A moment of peace for yourself at the end of a long day.
Legacy is not about perfection. It is about meaning.
And that is the journey I want to go on with you.
Where Should You Start?

Emily
