Quilting your Legacy Monthly Challenge is Projects with Triangles!
Let's get a little crazy and search through our patterns and look for designs that require you to make all sizes of Triangles.
Triangles such as equilateral (where all sides and angles are the exact sizes) are a design staple of traditional and modern quilting worlds.
But as a technique, they're not as cut-and-dried as, say, the half-square triangle. Still, with a bit of knowledge about the skills involved, triangles are simple to pull off and can add a whole new design dimension to your quilting! **Don't panic; I will guide you through the world of equilateral triangles—how to sew them, how-to design with them, and much more in the next few days.**
8 Ways to Use Triangles
(I will write a blog post (or even better video) with the exact steps to do the above project ideas.)
All size projects will be included, such as; table runners or toppers, couch quilts, bed size quilts, wall hanging, placemats, and more, to name a few.
• Fernanda (Panel & a few strips of fabrics)
• Falling (leafs galore)
• Butterfly Trail (table topper)
• Waverly (big blocks with half-square triangles)
• Raspberry Cream (40 - 5" Charm Squares)
👉After going to your stash patterns? What jumps out at you? If you're unsure if it's a triangle pattern, post it on the group page, and let's review it together.
April's Quilting your Legacy Monthly Challenge is Projects with Triangles!
You must show your progress. Start with taking a photo of the fabric/ pattern with what you will create.
1/2 points if you've started a project and are inspired or re-motivated to finish. But again, we must see where you're now, then the second photo of your finished project at the end of the month.
Let's see the progress! Start, middle, and end of the project.
Day 1-10 Declare the Facebook Group "I'm In" if you're participating in the month's challenge.
Day 2-30 Take a photo or write text with your tentative idea (or ideas) of what you're going to create.
Day 31 (or sooner) - Show off what you created within the guidelines by posting a photo.
🔺The process is everything this month. So let's see and be a part of your quilting adventure!
Happy Quilting your Legacy!
🌸Go to Facebook and state, "I'm in!". Perhaps adding a photo of the pattern, choosing fabrics, or just text is fine.
Set your intentions now.
👉What will you create for one or more of your favorite people?
Let's encourage and support each other on our monthly sewing challenge. See you on the Facebook Quilting your Legacy Monthly Challenge page.
