3 Best Spring Table Topper Patterns (Only $2 Each!)

Hey sweet quilting friends — welcome back to Quilting Your Legacy!

Today, I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite things: quick, joyful spring projects that don’t break the bank. 🌷

I’ve rounded up three of my favorite $2 digital table topper patterns — yes, just two dollars each!

These patterns are beginner-friendly, stash-busting, and full of color and meaning. If you’ve been looking for a small project to stitch between bigger quilts, or a heartfelt gift for Mother’s Day, teacher appreciation, or even just a little "yay me" project — you’re in the right place.

Grab a notebook, your scrap bin, and let’s dive in!

🌸 1. Flowers for Mom Table Runner

Size: 16" x 50"
Fabric Needed:

  • 5 fat eighths for flowers

  • ½ yard stems/leaves

  • ½ yard background

  • ⅓ yard binding

If you could stitch a bouquet, Flowers for Mom would be it.
Each block blossoms like a little bloom, making this runner as delightful to sew as it is to give.

Fabric Tips:

  • 🧵 Use pastels or floral prints for the flowers — this pattern LOVES your scrap basket!

  • 🧵 Choose a soft gray or blue background to keep the look fresh without being too stark.

Bonus Quilter’s Tip:
Make an extra flower block and turn it into a quick mug rug! A perfect mini gift for someone you love.

🌤️ 2. Fly Away Table Runner

Size: 16" x 54"
Fabric Needed:

  • Twelve 5" squares

  • ⅝ yard background

  • ½ yard border

  • ⅜ yard binding

Ready to sew a little spring breeze into your home? Fly Away feels like kites soaring in the sky!
This pattern has a beautiful sense of motion, and the triangles really make your fabrics pop.

Fabric Tips:

  • 🧵 Use a spring-themed charm pack and let those happy prints do the work.

  • 🧵 Try a two-tone palette — think peach and cream, or navy and white — for a crisp, modern twist.

Bonus Quilter’s Tip:
Feeling intimidated by all the triangles? Don’t be! Chain piecing and pressing as you go will make this project a breeze.

🌀 3. Pinwheelies Snack Mat (Makes 2)

Size: 8" x 14" (makes two snack mats!)
Fabric Needed:

  • 2 fat eighths for flowers

  • 1 fat eighth for stems/leaves

  • ¼ yard background

  • 1 fat eighth for accent

  • ¼ yard binding

If you’re looking for a fast, satisfying finish, meet your new best friend: Pinwheelies Snack Mat.
This sweet little project gives you TWO mini mats—perfect for gifts, spring mini-decor, or even to use as cute trivets.

Fabric Tips:

  • 🧵 Pair cheerful florals with gingham or stripes for a playful cottage-core vibe.

  • 🧵 Go bold with black-and-white prints and add a pop of color for the pinwheels!

Bonus Quilter’s Tip:
Add a layer of Insul-Bright inside if you want to turn these mats into mini hot pads for your kitchen.
