While in Houston, TX for my third Quilt Market I took notes of what I saw and felt while walking around, what I would call an adventure and a huge motivation.Â
In this blog post, I’m going to share what was bought and new quilting challenges and promotions coming your way!
I miss my partner in crime, the lady who sided with me through thick and thin and then would bop me on the head when I was wrong while calling me a "dumb bunny." My Grandma, Sue Wurzberger was strong-willed but yet gentle at the same time. She had the best dry humor, and I relish when people say I speak like her.Â
A month or so ago I had a lady came into the shop asking for the "older lady." To no fault of hers I replied with, 'you're looking at her because I'm a tad older then Beckie...'. The women would not take the hint, and she continued to ask a few more times and described the women she was hoping to see at the shop. And then the moment hit me when I could no longer keep joking. I choose my summer reading book wisely knowing that with a good book I can look forward to warm, lazy afternoons, with the comfort of a beach towel, or lounge in a hammock, or even the car (when not driving of course). Who doesn't love to lose ones-self in...

We took a long weekend and escaped to Cape Cod, MA a few weeks ago. The boy's birthday is in this month and it was the perfect weekend to get for some fun in the sun before summer kicks into full gear!
I'm like every other quilter and looked at the Quilt Shop Navigator and Quilter's Companion for nearby quilt shops while in the area. When in Rome... you know?
