The Vermont Shop Hop like any huge event contains a lot of different emotions and tremendous planning. It's a time for creators from all walks of life to come together to get inspired, find new and fresh products or fabrics by hopping to each participating fabric shops. Or people tend to hop from shop to shop to just be with the extended tribe and meet other like-minded people. I love Shop Hop for the above reasons.Â
We're at the tail end of the VT Shop Hop, and if I could only choose one word to describe the event, it would be, "delightfully endearing." Oops, that's two words.Â
It's an honor to meet so many different like-minded people in all walks of life who love what I love! Fabric! SO much fun!
First, before you start any embroidery project let’s talk about the hoop which is what holds the fabric tightly. I grew up using a wooden hoop that was 8inches round, but a few years ago our distributor back ordered them for whatever reason, and I had to Grit my teeth and bought a plastic hoop. Jokes on me because lo and behold I have never gone back to a wooden hoop because the plastic coop does not stretch the fabric in my option.
